I liked a series of books by Erin Murphy-Hiscock. I think they give enough information to help you get started in your beliefs as a beginner, without being too rigid that its hard to personalize. The titles are things like - the green witch, the house witch, witch's guide to self care. I still have mine and enjoy going back and checking out my notes that I wrote on the pages/post its. They also can help you find things that you want to research more in depth.
